Bio

Many faces, places and spaces.  Hello everyone.  I'm Lou Neeley.  I grew up in Savannah, GA.  After graduating from the University of Georgia, I made a career in the United States Air Force and the Civil Service.  My family and I have made our home in Northern Virginia.  For the past several years, I have been a regular performer at a number of venues here in Northern VA.  I do not portend any particular genre of music.  If it's good it's good.  It all depends.

I am an entertainer first and a vocalist/musician second.  I am a self taught musician.  I learned to play guitar prior to my teens while I attended a Pentecostal Holiness Church.  We used to call them "sanctified" churches.  That is where the music was!  I sat, I watched, and then I went home to see if I could duplicate what I had seen and heard in the hours upon hours I had to spend in church.   Hence, my rather unconventional style in the way I play and perform.

I am currently working on my next CD/EP/Album project.  (I released my first CD entitled "Soul Again" in 2008.  That one was mainly cover songs of other great artists.)  I hope to begin releasing new material by the end of this year, 2019.
